On September 25 and 26, 2007 an instructor from the National Center for Biotechnology Information in Bethesda, Maryland will be at the Medical Center to teach two mini-courses, “BLAST QuickStart” and “Making Sense of DNA and Protein Sequences.” The program is sponsored by the Miner Library and is intended for URMC principal investigators, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in the life sciences who work with biological sequence data. It is available to you at no charge. To learn more about the workshop and to register, go to http://www.urmc.rochester.edu/hslt/miner/teaching_and_learning/ncbi/. Register early because space is limited in the “Hands-on” sessions.
