Google Scholar is a free search engine that allows you to search across many disciplines. In addition to articles, you may find theses, books, and abstracts. Results from a standard Google search come from a variety of sources while results in Google Scholar are from scholarly sources.
One shortcoming of Google Scholar is that you can’t always connect to the full article. However, Google can show you when an article you want is available through your library! If you are on campus, the red “Find Text @ UR” icon should appear to the right of the citation. You can modify your Scholar preferences to access library resources when off site.
