Thing interesting, pleasant and very convenient – only if to finish it to mind. iphone 5 download Or not to use all its possibilities.

  2. June Beatty says:

I have to say I’m impressed that there is such an expansive list of apps for dentists. But this really speaks to the thriving nature of the iphone dev ecosystem. High genetic diversity there, with an app in every niche. I think this is what makes a successful platform – its a PS vs N64 issue to be with iphone apps vs android.

  3. Check Dent says:

    Great list!

I’ll get in touch when our iPhone app is ready so that you can add it 🙂

  4. I can’t thank you enough for compiling and sharing this list. I will get on these and see which I , as a dental hygienist, can recommend to my clients. Thanks again.

  5. As i’m sure people understand when they see these apps is that we are in an information age where you have the “ability” to have an expert in every field in the palm of you hand. These digital experts in dentistry, medicine, law, and countless others have allowed people the “ability” to benefit from this information, however, i used quotes to represent the amount of individuals out there who actually take advantage of that ability. To put this in perspective think of it like voting, as adults we have the “ability” and yet only 49% of use actually take advantage of it, same goes for the apps.

  6. Thanks for a great read. Patients want to be comfortable with the fact that they will be unaware of the procedure and not wake up in pain. The majority of dentists trained in sedation have only attended a one or two weekend course and they can not deliver this level of care

  7. Hi Dr Bibby,

I though I would share with you my new app called Dental Phobia which is now available at the iTunes store. It is a useful app for nervous dental patients. You can view it at:

While this is a great list of dental apps, as a patient I’d love to see a comprehensive application for tracking dental work already performed, future dental work needed, results of routine exams and reminders for cleanings, etc. I’ve had extensive work done and suffer terribly from anxiety. Sometimes it’s hard to remember which teeth have crowns, root canals, etc and having one place to track it all, plus future work and reminders would be awesome.

Hi Elizabeth, thank you for compiling such a comprehensive and valuable resource.
You might considering including our remote dental diagnosis iPhone application- OralEye. It allows dentists to diagnose their patients from home and patients to get a checkup without visiting the dental office.
